Your download has started.
Mac will ask you to approve a few permissions before the session can start. That’s normal. Follow the steps below and your technician will be ready to connect.
Step by step
1
Open the downloaded DMG file
Find it in your browser’s download notification (top right corner) and click it to open.
2
Click “Open” when Mac asks
You’ll see a prompt saying “QuickConnect is an app downloaded from the Internet. Are you sure you want to open it?” Click Open.
3
Enter your Mac password
A prompt will appear saying “QuickConnect needs to run commands with administrator privileges.” Enter your Mac login password and click OK.
4
Allow Screen Recording if prompted
Mac may ask permission to record your screen. Click Allow. Your technician needs this to see your screen.
5
Share your 9-digit session code
Once the app is running, a 9-digit code will appear on screen. Share that with your technician and you’re connected.
If any other permission prompts appear, allow them. Your technician will talk you through anything unexpected.
